We are excited to announce Fifth House Ensemble Uncorked! Grab a glass, shake the snow off your boots and kick off your spring break with us after work on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Mars Gallery in Chicago’s West Loop. From 6:00-8:00pm, celebrate with our musicians as you enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres from Publican Quality Meats and Mariano’s Fresh Market, and live performances of 5HE’s favorite repertoire.
Purchase your ticket below through PayPal in advance, and try your luck at our raffle to win prime seats at a Chicago Blackhawks game, a private sailing lesson on Lake Michigan, a week-long getaway at North Carolina’s Outer Banks, and more! Between sets of enthralling live chamber music , be sure to ask us about our favorite memories from working with CPS students, our most successful multi-media collaborations, and our dreams for the future of chamber music.
The program for the evening includes selections from:
Walter Piston’s Divertimento for Nine Instruments
Dan Visconti’s Hard Knock Stomp
Edgar Meyer’s Concert Duo for Violin and Double Bass
Johan Halvorsen Passacaglia after G.F. Handel’s Suite No. 7 in G minor for Harpsichord
Franz Schubert’s Death and the Maiden String Quartet no. 14 in d minor, D. 810
100% of proceeds from ticket and raffle sales will benefit 5HE’s innovative programming across the city of Chicago, including curriculum integrated residencies, concerts in Chicago Public Schools, and performance experiences that bring communities together through music.
