WDCB’s Gary Zidek talks to Fifth House Ensemble artistic director Dan Visconti about the group’s upcoming UNDERTALE LIVE program.

Listen to the interview here, excerpted from the original full-length episode.

“We’re so interested in, not just the music, but also what’s the experience. What if there was an experience that felt less like a concert and more like a party, what if it felt less like a concert and more like wandering through an amazing environment, and music was a part of that. So there’s so many different ways, and we’re exploring interactivity in a lot of them.” - Dan Visconti, artistic director of Fifth House Ensemble, talking about the ensemble’s approach to making music more accessible.

Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble has been developing innovative music-based programming for over 14 years. The chamber group next program is an interactive concert inspired by a video game. Titled UNDERTALE LIVE, the world premiere program will allow audiences to engage with what happens on stage.

Both UNDERTALE LIVE concerts are sold out, but there are discussions about taking the program on tour. You can learn more about Fifth House Ensemble by visiting its website fifth-house.com
