Unchained Melodies, by composer Dan Visconti, is a musical game in the form of ten solo pieces that can be combined in endless permutations ranging from duos and trios all the way up to a full dectet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, violin, viola, cello, bass, piano). Inspired by classical music’s rich tradition of musical puzzles, Unchained Melodies features a series of interactive games played between musicians and audience, inviting participants to play, create, and contribute to a joyous musical celebration in collaboration with Fifth House Ensemble artists.
