How do I set up my USB microphone?
What happens if I don’t have an external microphone?
No sweat! Using the built-in internal microphone on either your phone or computer will work just fine! No need to buy an expensive microphone in order to get quality results.
Where should I put my microphone when I’m ready to record?
Knowing where to place your microphone can be the difference between a good recording and a great recording (also, a terrible recording).

BandLab? What’s that?
BandLab is a free, online Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that allows you to record yourself and collaborate on projects with your fellow students. We’ll also be using BandLab’s Education platform to send you assignments, help guide you through the recording process, and get you sounding your best even from afar!
Note: BandLab for Education will only work with the Google Chrome browser.

First time using a DAW? No problem! Follow this link for a video on how to set up all of the necessary components to record yourself in BandLab and complete your first assignment
Note: While there is a BandLab mobile app, connecting it to BandLab for Education is tricky and not recommended
