Caught: What's YOUR Story?
This weekend, we set off on another exciting part of this year's community-based, narrative chamber music series adventure, Caught, by hosting free multi-generational Story Circle Workshops, and we want to hear your story! If you can't participate in person at these events, keep reading; we'd love to have you participate via social media! At these fun workshops, 5HE members will work with participants young and old to pair stories and music in a way similar to what we do in our signature series every year. Stories will be created based off of prompts that directly relate to Caught: The Woods. 5HE is excited to work in different communities to engage with members from various backgrounds so that we end up with stories featuring voices from across Chicago.
5HE will be teaming up with Joel Hall Dancers and Young Chicago Authors at the Washington Park workshop to give participants multiple art forms from which to create and share their stories! We've also partnered with Chicago food vendors to provide FREE HEALTHY SNACKS at all workshops!
These stories, and those we collect in Lowell Elementary School, will be worked into part one of our series, Caught: The Woods. These concerts will be performed free of charge in November at three Chicago Park District venues, as well as at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Please join us this Saturday and Wednesday to share your story and take part in this exciting step in our story telling process!

But wait! You don't have to live in the Chicago area to participate! Or, if you're all booked up this weekend, we'd still love to hear your stories! 5HE wants to hear everyone's stories! Here's how you can participate in two easy steps:
1. Read these prompts that directly relate to Caught: The Woods. (We're posting the prompts on a separate page so as not to spoil the workshop for anyone who might want to come in with a clean slate.)
2. Submit your responses to these prompts. Click here for instructions on how to submit your responses via Facebook, Twitter, email, or Youtube.
And that's it! For your responses to be considered as content for Caught: The Woods, please submit them by 11:59pm on Friday, September 28, 2012. That gives our fabulous collaborators time to work them into the story!
